Facility Configuration: Alternate Identifiers Report

The Facility Configuration: Alternate Identifiers Report provides details of all alternate system identifiers that exist for all identifiable components, across all Agencies, filterable by identifier type EIS Facility Identifier, geography, NAICS, Facility Source Type, or Facility Operating Status.

The following filters are available to select from within the accordion style tables: (Filter Name – Table Column Headings)

  • Facility Operating Status
  • EIS Facility Identifiers - Upload CSV file with Facility IDs. The file must be a CSV with one column labeled "EIS Facility ID" followed by any EIS Facility IDs that you want your report filtered by. There is a limit of 10,000 EIS Facility ID records that may be uploaded per file. Click here for additional details on the EIS Facility Identifier Filter

FIPS Code Numeric codes representing all states, outlying areas of the United States, freely associated states, and trust territories of the United States, as listed in FIPS publication 10-4 “01001”; “88435” (“88” proceeded by tribal code) Yes No

EIS Facility ID Unique identifier of an EIS facility site record.  This identifier is assigned by the EIS and is unique within the inventory. 123411 Yes Yes
Program System Code The code that identifies the lookup value to be reported. "NCDAQ" Yes No
Agency Facility ID A unique sequence identifier assigned by the EIS.  This data in this column is not made public. “12345” Yes No
Affiliation Type Code that identifies the function that an organization or individual serves, or the relationship between an individual or organization and the facility site. "OW" No No
Company Name The name of the legal entity or company that owns or operates the facility. “ACME Power Plant” Yes No
Site Name The name assigned to the facility site by the reporting agency.  This is the public or commercial name (i.e., the full name that commonly appears on invoices, signs, or other business documents, or as assigned by the state when the name is ambiguous). “Summerville ACME Power Plant” Yes No
Primary NAICS Code The NAICS code indicates the industry classification/activity or subdivision of an industry for a facility site. “326211” No No
Primary NAICS Description Description of industrial activity (NAICS code) for a facility site. “Tire manufacturing” No No
Primary NAICS Protected? Property restricts users from modifying protected data when enabled No No No
Secondary NAICS A secondary operation performed by the facility described by codes from the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS). 12345&4566&9234 No No
Tertiary NAICS A tertiary operation performed by the facility described by codes from the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS). 2345&3245 No No
Facility Source Type Code Description of facility source type code. “Compressor Station” No No
Site Latitude The measure of the angular distance on a meridian north or south of the equator. 40.579 Yes No
Site Longitude  The measure of the angular distance on a meridian east or west of the prime meridian. -122.82 Yes No
Address The address that describes the physical (geographic) location of the front door or main entrance of a facility site, including urban-style street address or rural address. “123 Maple Lane” No No
City The name of the city, town, village, or other locality, when identifiable, within whose boundaries the facility site is located. “Springfield” No No
Zip Code The combination of the five-digit Zone Improvement Plan (ZIP) code and the four digit extension code assigned by the U.S. Postal Service to a geographic location. 27519 No No
Postal Abbreviation All alphabetic codes assigned by the U.S. Postal Service that represent the states of U.S. and Canada. “NC” No No
Facility Comment Any comments regarding the reported data. “Shuts Down During the Summer” No No
Facility Status  Code that identifies the operating status of the facility site during the reporting period. OP Yes No
Facility Status Year The year in which a status or code changed or is no longer effective. 2010 No No
